Welcome

It is a privilege to introduce you to Queen Elizabeth II Primary School on behalf of our dedicated staff and wonderful children. At QEII, we proudly say we are “more than a school” a vibrant community where every child is at the heart of all we do.

Our guiding motto, “Kind Hearts, Brave Minds, Bright Futures,” reflects the values we live by every day. We believe kindness builds a caring community, courage empowers our pupils to embrace challenges and a commitment to learning opens doors to limitless possibilities. Together, these principles shape confident, compassionate learners who are ready to make a positive difference in the world.

Set in an enriching rural environment, QEII offers a safe and welcoming space where children thrive academically, socially and emotionally. We are passionate about providing high-quality teaching and a broad, balanced curriculum enriched with outdoor learning, creativity and technology. Our aim is to nurture individual talents, encourage curiosity and develop resilience, helping every child become a confident individual and a kind human being.

Our website offers a glimpse of life at QEII but nothing compares to experiencing our school in person. We warmly invite you to visit us and see for yourself what makes our school family so special. Please contact our office to arrange a visit. We would love to welcome you.

P6/7 had a great time at the β€˜BeeSafe’ event today. They had the opportunity to hear from a range of different members of our community including PSNI, RNLI, Firesafety, NI Electric and Translink. They discussed how they can stay safe in various situations and who they can seek help from if needed. 🐝
Our iPads have been a great resource for supporting our art 🎨 ✏️
We finished our QEII World Book Day by presenting every child with an Easter Egg and celebrating the excellent competition entries for our Book character potatoes & Caught reading challenge. Well done to everyone. 🌟 A special thank you to Irvinestown Credit Union Ltd for helping to sponsor the prizes for the children. πŸͺΊ 🍫
A few more photos of our children in their dress up today 🐢 🍫 πŸ“š
After a shared snack, we had games, a sing song and a table quiz. 🎢
We began our World Book Day with a visit to our friends at Knocknagor P.S where we had a costume parade.
