Meet Our Wellbeing Champion
We are delighted to introduce Miss Irvine, our dedicated Wellbeing Champion at Queen Elizabeth II Primary School.
Miss Irvine is passionate about supporting the emotional health and happiness of every child in our school. Her role is to promote positive mental health, encourage resilience and ensure that wellbeing is at the heart of everything we do.
From leading mindfulness activities and wellbeing workshops to offering a listening ear, Miss Irvine works closely with pupils, staff, and families to create a safe, supportive, and caring environment.
Her mission is simple: to help every child feel valued, confident and ready to thrive both inside and outside the classroom.
If you have any questions or ideas about wellbeing in our school, Miss Irvine would love to hear from you!
"I believe that every one of us can thrive when we support each other. We are building a school where every child and adult feels valued, resilient and ready to succeed.”

Wellbeing in QEII
At Queen Elizabeth II Primary School, we prioritise the emotional health and wellbeing of our whole school
community, including our pupils, families, staff, governors and beyond.
At QEII, we believe that a child’s wellbeing is the foundation for their success, happiness, and personal growth. When wellbeing is prioritised, children develop resilience, emotional awareness, and a positive outlook—skills that help them face challenges and build strong, healthy relationships.
To support this, we are proud to be part of the Education Authority’s Being Well Doing Well programme. This whole-school initiative helps us strengthen the emotional health and wellbeing practices already in place at Ashgrove. Through this programme, pupils and staff gain a deeper understanding of emotional wellbeing, promote open conversations, challenge stigma, and ensure staff are equipped to recognise and respond to the mental health needs of our children.
